Only a little over halfway through the year but Sofia Coppola’s Southern Gothic is so juicy and fun and masterfully tense, it has distanced itself from the rest of the pack.

I’m aware that this was a fairly well received movie and calling it a guilty pleasure feels weird. But a 51% Rotten Tomatoes average says it could use some defending.
